Privacy policy

Who we are

Skillido is a product of Next Day Online B.V., Wilpsedijk 2b, 7384 CC Wilp, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 08198136. We are the controller for the data that comes in through skillido.com. Questions about privacy go to hallo@skillido.com.

What data we collect

During a free test. We store your game results: per game the raw outcome, the converted score and how long it took. They are linked to a random session number, not to a name or an email address. If you came from an ad or a link, we also store where that click came from.

On the waitlist. On the English pages you can leave your email address to hear when purchases outside the Netherlands open. We store that address, the language of the page, the country your connection came from (as two letters, taken from our hosting provider) and the time. We don't store your IP address.

After a purchase. Your email address, the package, the amount and Mollie's payment reference. We need the email address to give you access. Right now nothing can be bought on the English pages.

Steps in the funnel. We record which steps a session took: test started, test finished, offer viewed. This happens on our own server, so also if you reject cookies, because otherwise we can't tell where people get stuck. Only a random session number is attached, no name, no email address and no IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving our own website.

Why we collect it

• Running your test and showing your score: performance of the contract.
• Emailing you once when purchases open: your consent, which you give by leaving your address. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
• Handling a purchase and giving you access: performance of the contract.
• Measuring and improving the site: legitimate interest, aggregated and without names.
• Measuring ads: only with your consent in the cookie banner.

What we don't do

We don't sell data. We don't send advertising emails. We don't ask for your date of birth, address or phone number, because we don't do anything with them.

How long we keep it

• Test sessions without a purchase: twelve months, then deleted.
• Waitlist addresses: until we send the one email we promised, and at most twelve months. Earlier if you ask.
• Purchases and invoices: seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.

Who processes the data

We have a data processing agreement with our suppliers, except with Mollie: Mollie is the controller for your payment data and has its own privacy policy.

• Supabase, for the database. Servers in the European Union.
• Vercel, for running the website.
• Mollie, for payments. Mollie sees your payment details, we don't.
• Resend, for emails about your order.
• Google Analytics and Meta, for measuring visits and ads. These only load if you consent.

Transfers outside Europe

Supabase runs on servers inside the European Union. Vercel, Resend, Google and Meta are American companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. For Vercel, Google and Meta we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which these companies are certified. For companies not covered by it, we use the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for a copy.

Cookies

Functional cookies are needed for the tests to work; they are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies only load after you click accept in the cookie banner.

If you arrive through an ad or a link from elsewhere and you have accepted marketing, we set the cookie ndo_attr, valid for thirty days. It holds where you came from: the campaign parameters in the link, the page you landed on, the referring website and the click ID that Google or Meta attaches to your click. A click ID is not a name, but it belongs to one click from one device.

We keep your choice in the banner for twelve months. To change or withdraw it earlier, click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

Your rights

You can ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or transferred. Email hallo@skillido.com and you get an answer within a month, usually much sooner. If you disagree with how we handle it, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Changes

If anything changes about what we collect or why, we update this policy and put the new date at the top.
